• Fire safety duties under the law
• The role of the fire warden in workplace health and safety
• The basic principles of risk assessment
• Identify a range of portable fire extinguishers
• Recognise the importance of an effective evacuation
• Advise members of staff on measures that can be taken to prevent fire or to minimise the spread of fire
