- Basic manual handling principles
- Assisting & moving patients
- Sitting to standing
- Walking assistance
- Bed to chair
- Lying to sitting
- Safe use of hoists where applicable
Learning Outcomes
The student will gain an understanding of People Handling in the Workplace.
Assessment
Continuous assessment by the Trainer.

Abstracts:
Heart specialist Dr Christopher Duke said Sophie 'would have survived' if she had received continuous CPR. He said 'You don't stop resuscitation just because a patient appears to be breathing. You only stop if there's breathing and a pulse.'
